The Archdiocese of San Francisco is offering stipend-scholarships to recently incarcerated women and men: The Restorative Justice Ministry has inaugurated a scholarship program for those on probation or parole after serving time in prison. It is funded by a block grant from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development distributed by the California Catholic Conference to individual dioceses. The program is administered by the Archdiocese RJ Ministry and includes mentoring, spiritual direction opportunities and more. In collaboration, the non-profit Excell is offering smaller stipends and support as well. There are a limited number of scholarships. (Photo by

Join us Jan. 9 for Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral and to pray for life outside the new 'flagship' Planned Parenthood clinic at 1522 Bush Street in San Francisco: Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone will celebrate Mass at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 at St. Mary’s Cathedral and bless the pilgrims who will then walk with the Archbishop praying the rosary from St. Mary’s Cathedral to the Bush Street Planned Parenthood clinic. The clinic is expected to open in 2021, perhaps as early as January. This will be the kick off of a monthly St. Mary’s Cathedral Mass and Rosary.
