GOSPEL REFLECTION QUESTIONS
Read the Readings from this Sunday, the Feast of the Holy Family
Genesis 15:1-6; Psalm 105:1-9; Hebrews 11:8, 11-12, 17-19; Luke 2:22-40
Use the following discussion/reflection questions in your families, with your spouse, your friends, or even as personal journal questions:
1. What does it mean to do something in the name of the Lord? What does this look like on a day-to-day basis?
2. What does it mean to make God’s deeds known among the people? How have you done this? Has there been a time when you failed to do this? Explain.
3. What does it look like when the heart is controlled by greed, pride, cruelty, aggression, and impatience instead of the joy of Christ?
4. What is one way to let the word of Christ dwell in you? How can you make this a part of your everyday life?
THE CHOSEN: THE SHEPHERD
The Chosen is the first-ever-multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus. Created outside of the Hollywood system, The Chosen allows us to see Him through the eyes of those who knew him. The director, Dallas Jenkins, started this series with a short film called, The Shepherd, about the proclamation from the Angels to the Shepherds about the Birth of the Messiah, Jesus. Season 2 of The Chosen is now in production.
