My dear friends of IHM,
First, please join me in praying for Father Thomas Lynch, who is dealing with a cardiac issue this week. Through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, may he, and all who are sick, be blessed with health and healing.
May we ensure that our last minute preparations for Christmas not neglect that invitation to open our hearts to the grace of our Lord Jesus, taking some time for quiet prayer.
I would like to thank all of you for your understanding and flexibility in registering for Christmas Masses.
For those who were unable to obtain a reservation and those who are not comfortable returning to the church for this celebration, please join us online as we livestream all of our Christmas Masses!
For those who have made reservations, you may confirm them at the official list that was just updated at noon today. Please click here.
When you arrive at IHM for Mass with your confirmation ticket/number, please use the main doors of the church to enter (handicapped entrance provided for appropriate persons/families).
Know that the church has been reconfigured to allow for maximum capacity per Mass, depending upon household groups registered, while maintaining the proper social distancing.
Please follow the instructions of the ushers and know that certain pews are for certain size households. You cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Know that in certain cases, to accommodate all, we may ask groups of 4, 5 or 6, to split and sit at the ends of the main aisle pews to ensure social distancing from the pews around them.
Church doors will be locked until 30 minutes before all Masses except the 9PM (opening at 8:15PM), Midnight (opening at 11:15AM) and the 10AM and 12 Noon (opening 35 minutes before).
You reservation is good until the start of Mass. Please arrive early.
For the distribution of Holy Communion, it will be as usual for the nave of the church and the adoration chapel.
For the 2 sides facing the sides of the sanctuary, please exit the pews to receive (priests will distribute near the pulpit and near the lectern) and circulate to return to your pew.
After Mass, please refrain from congregating inside the church and use the closest exit nearest you.
Thank you, again, for your understanding.
I am looking forward to a wonderful Christmas Eve and Day with you and your loved ones!
