The monthly baptism preparation class will be held on Monday, January 11 at 7:00 PM in Room 104. This one-time class with Fr. Brendan is for parents who are having their first child baptized at Sacred Heart or whose last child was baptized here more than four years ago. No sign-up or registration is required.

During the COVID-related absence of Sacred Heart's on-campus Catholic Scripture Study program, you are encouraged to take advantage of a new online Bible podcast. Ascension Press is offering a free online audio teaching program entitled The Bible in a Year, with daily sessions hosted by Fr. Mike Schmitz. These sessions are designed to help Catholics understand Scripture from Genesis to Revelation.

Unlike any other Bible podcast, The Bible in a Year follows a reading plan inspired by The Great Adventure Bible Timeline ® learning system that was developed by Jeff Cavins — who also participates in the podcasts.

Each 20-25 minute episode includes:

Sacred Heart parishioners, 55 years of age or better, are encouraged to consider a year-long commitment to service and spirituality with the Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC). There is no shortage of need in the Baltimore metro region — and all skills, lovingly offered, can be matched to the great work of one of IVC’s over 30 nonprofit partner agencies! Volunteers commit to 1 or 2 days of service per week and meet monthly in community for spiritual reflection in the Ignatian tradition. During the pandemic, many virtual service opportunities are available!

The Retrouvaille (pronounced “retro-vi” with a long “i”) program has helped many couples experiencing difficulties in their marriages.
