The Roman Missal contains the following prayer for those in public office. I thought it would be a very appropriate prayer for us to be praying this week:
Almighty ever-living God, in whose hand lies every human heart and the rights of peoples, look with favor, we pray, on those who govern with authority over us, that throughout the whole world the prosperity of peoples, the assurance of peace, and freedom of religion may through your gift be made secure. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
God bless you all,
Fr. Don

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
Begins January 27
If you are saddened by the death of a loved one, give yourself some time to work through the natural process of grieving. The Ministry of Consolation provides a grief support group to help you cope with your grief and pain after the death of a loved one and to support you as you learn to go on with life. The Ministry uses the New Day eight-step process based on William Worden’s four tasks of mourning.
Two trained facilitators from the Ministry of Consolation lead the group which meets one evening a week for 8 weeks. Meetings are confidential and books are provided as a stewardship supported program (Freewill donation offering).
*Must purchase kit upfront and attend 8 out of 9 classes. Rebate equal to $130. One per family
