Archdiocesan Day of Prayer for Our Nation

In his letter "Building a Nation of Peace and Justice", Archbishop Lori suggested that today (January 15) be an Archdiocesan Day of Prayer for our nation and its leaders. "Although we cannot readily come together because of the pandemic, we can observe this day very simply by offering prayers such as the Prayer of St. Francis or the Rosary. Included here are links to the USCCB website that include prayers for peace and civil authorities that Pope Francis and his recent predecessors composed. We might also perform some sort of penance such as skipping a meal. Would it not also be a good day for reconciliation with a person who has offended us?"

Tio Pepe Drive-Thru Restaurant Event

Call and pre-purchase your meal from Tio Pepe and "drive-thru" at Sacred Heart to pick it up on January 22! All orders will be fully cooked prior to pick-up and will be ready to eat when you get home.

Please order early; we will cut off orders before the deadline if we reach capacity. To place your order, contact Restaurante Tio Pepe at 410-539-4675 and mention Sacred Heart. All orders must be received by 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 21. A $5 charge will be added to each order and donated back to Sacred Heart.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, January 18 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Tax Statements for 2020 Church Donations

Many of you have given generously to Sacred Heart Parish. Thank you for your faithful stewardship! In an effort to conserve resources during this time, we will not automatically send out tax statements this year. Please also remember that with the higher standard deduction limits, many people are not itemizing deductions as they have in the past, so you may not need a statement for that purpose.

However, we are happy to send a statement to anyone who requests it. You may email us at mrosado@shgparish.org or call the Parish Center at 410-833-1696 (Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:15 – 4:30 PM) to request a tax statement.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Sacred Heart will host a blood drive on Saturday, January 23 in the Mother Seton Room from 7:45 AM – 1:15 PM. As of today, all available time slots have been filled thanks to the terrific support of our blood donors! Healthy donors are encouraged to check back for any openings and book an appointment with the Red Cross to support our community and help save lives.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

January 18 marks the beginning of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January 18-25).

The theme chosen for 2021 is "Abide in my love… you shall bear much fruit" (John 15:1-17). Throughout 2021, join Christians everywhere in praying "that they may all be one".

Parish Ministry Group Meeting

The Sacred Heart parish staff will be holding a mandatory meeting for all ministry groups in February in advance of our eventual full campus re-opening.
