As COVID-19 cases continue to surge, as we grapple with unrest in our country, as we embark upon the inauguration of President-Elect Biden this Wednesday and remember the anniversary of Roe v. Wade this Friday, as we take pause this Monday to remember the legacy and dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as well as spend this week in prayer for Christian Unity, may the readings for this weekend keep us centered in prayer. Let us answer the call like Samuel and offer ourselves in response to God. Let us look for Jesus in the middle of it all, as he summons us forth to carry out our baptismal mission.
We will pray for healing amidst this pandemic in a special way every Saturday for the next 6 weeks of Ordinary Time. We will use the "Mass in the Time of a Pandemic" prayers to focus our request to God for healing and courage, though the readings of Sunday will still be used.
Next Sunday, January 24 is celebrated by the Church as Word of God Sunday. We invite you to bring your bible with you to church next week or to make sure it is set in a prominent place at your home prayer table as you worship online. There will be a blessing at all masses next weekend as we celebrate the gift of scripture and God's Word to us.

We invite those who worship from home to set aside time to worship at the same time as those gathered in the Church. Be sure you have the digital worship aid handy to help you with music.
The recording of the livestream will still be made available, however we invite you to adapt your at home worship schedule to make time to join the community that gathers on campus.
