TEN REASONS TO JOIN THE ROCKFORD WALK FOR LIFE
Saturday Jan. 23rd, 10:00am, 327 S. Church St.
10:00am prayer & speakers followed at 10:30am by our prayer walk.
1. "Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."
Matthew 18:20 - Not only will be walking with hundreds of other Christians we will be walking with and for our Savior Jesus Christ.
2. "Whatever you do to the least of My people you do unto Me."
Matthew 25:40 - We are walking for the love and protection of children that Jesus so dearly loves He considers that what is done to them as being done to Him.
3. Christ Jesus said, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32 - We will begin our walk by listening to words that will inspire us to know and live the truth of Christ's love for all people.
4. Jesus is the "WAY" John 14:6 - United in Christ we will be a living example of the "Way" of Jesus Christ in loving our neighbor and stand-up for the most vulnerable and defenseless in our society.
5. Jesus is the "TRUTH" John 14:6 - We will be sharing the "Truth" with our community that every child is created in the image and likeness of God and is our sister or brother.
6. Jesus is the "LIFE" John 14:6 - We will be publicly witnessing to the fact that every life matters and that "Life" in Christ is the hope of the world.
7. "This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God." Deut. 30: 19. We are living in the middle of a great battle between the culture of life and the culture of death. By joining the Rockford Walk for Life we will be a sign to our community to "CHOOSE LIFE."
8. Jesus told them, "Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 - It will not be easy standing and walking in the cold on Jan 23rd, but our witness will be an act of repentance for ourselves and our community for the sin of abortion and all sins against human life.
9. Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 17:7 - If we as the people of God unite in prayer for good things for those in need we know the Holy Trinity will answer these prayers for the good and salvation of souls.
10. "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1st Cor 2:9 - Countless children have died and many souls have been lost because of abortion - we must do all we can to share the love of Christ and sacrifice ourselves for the care of children and souls in danger with the hope that we can all journey - in Christ - on the way to heaven forever.
