My dear friends,
We are excited to announce that our parish now has access to premium video content from Word on Fire!
These films and videos feature Bishop Robert Barron who has been hailed as “one of the Church’s greatest messengers" and is the second most-followed Catholic in the world on social media (behind only Pope Francis.)
He is best known for his CATHOLICISM film series and his Emmy-nominated Pivotal Players series, which have both aired on PBS and EWTN, and have been seen by millions of people. I am always struck by the beauty and inspirational tone of Bishop Barron's videos!
Thanks to Flocknote, our parish's email and texting tool, we can now send you short Bishop Barron videos with engaging questions via email or text message.
In addition, you now have access to the entire Word on Fire digital video library. You can watch any of Bishop Barron's films or study programs whenever you want, on any device! This will be on a 30-day trial period, and if utilized well, we will consider enrolling in a monthly or yearly plan.
Just click on any video we send (try the one below) to get started!
If your email and/or phone number is not registered with the parish, or if you would like to add additional addresses, please register here or by texting IHMS to 84576.
Finally, we encourage you to watch this short video about Word on Fire for a sneak peek at the great video content you now have access to:
Father Lynch's family reports that he is gradually improving, thank God. He is experiencing another good week. Please pray for the family, especially his Mother, as Fr. Lynch's Aunt Joan Lane passed away yesterday in Ireland. We will add her name to our parish prayer list.
Do know that if one of your family members is in need of prayers when they are sick (and with, at least, their implicit permission), please let us know and we will add their names to our bulletin and Mass prayer lists for 2 weeks. Let us know if they would benefit from a longer duration.
Know that this offer of public prayer holds as well when a loved one has died.
Please be careful today in this frigid temperature!
In Jesus, Blessed Mary and St. Joseph,
Msgr. Luke Sweeney
