New Director of Religious Education
Thank you, Joe Augustine, for answering the call to lead the religious education program at St. Mary's! Joe is a life-long native of Nashville and a cradle Catholic. His entire family has strong ties to St. Mary's, where he has officially been a parishioner since 1983. He has three grown children and seven grandchildren. Joe is a graduate of Father Ryan, MTSU and TSU (graduate degrees in education). Joe has spent most of his work life in Industrial Management and has served as General Manager at SealMaster Nashville for eight years. He will bring great enthusiasm and solid catechesis to St. Mary's religious education position. Please welcome him in this big undertaking!
Classes Start 9/10, 10:30
We've (nearly) finished the new classrooms in the Crypt just in time for the start of Religious Education Classes.Registration will be available after Masses August 20 & 27 for:
- Catechesis of Good Shepherd (ages 3-6)
- Primary (grades 1-4)
- JPII (grades 5-6)
- Church History (grades 7-8)
- High School
RCIA and Confirmation
If you are an adult and have not yet been Confirmed or are interested in joining the Catholic Church, please contact Joe Augustine.
There will be a second collection on August 26/27 for Altar Cloths and Liturgical items. Please be generous.
First Saturday Mass & Adoration
Join us First Saturday, September 2, for Mass at 11 am, followed by Eucharistic Adoration.

Men, mark your calendars and make plans to attend the St. Mary Men's Retreat, to be led by Fr. Joel Rogers of the Fathers of Mercy, October 20-22 at Bethany Retreat House. Fr. Joel is a powerful preacher and retreat leader. The theme is "Trusting in God's Divine Providence." Details to come.

St. Mary parishioner Caitlin Clendenin is entering the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia (Nashville) on August 15. She promised to pray for us, but let's be sure to pray for her as well.
