What's New: Any families wishing to opt their student out of the Personal Safety Lessons (PSL) provided by the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis should do so by completing this form by Wednesday, 2/17.
Why It's Important: The Office for the Protection of Children & Youth (OPCY) is a program within the Archdiocese that approves various Personal Safety Lessons (PSL) that are then taught by a member of each schools' faculty. Approved PSL providers include Child Safety Matters (K-5), Protecting God's Children (K-12), KidSmartz (K-5), NetSmartz (6-12), Super Hero Kids (K-5) and Safer Sons & Daughters (6-12). The Archdiocese has provided all parishes and schools with these resources. In addition, parishes and schools are able to use other supplemental programs to develop the best personal safety instruction for students.
What's Next: Our Lady of Peace will begin teaching these Personal Safety Lessons to all K-8 students beginning next month. Should you have additional questions about this curriculum, or wish to opt your student out, please do so by completing this form by Wednesday, 2/17.
