March 23-28th
On the Lake Path behind the Lake House
As we prepare to wrap up Lent and enter into Holy Week...
come pray our new OUTDOOR Stations of the Cross
Praying Stations of the Cross is one of the most popular spiritual practices during Lent. You may notice around the walls of every Catholic church there are fourteen images or statues of Jesus's passion and death on the cross. St. Michael actually has 15! Do you know what the "extra" station is? (Walk them and find out!)
These statues recall Jesus' Journey to the Cross. You can pray the Stations of the Cross anytime but especially during Lent, we walk from one station to the next meditating on each memorable event of Jesus's suffering and death.
While we may not get to walk along the actual places where Jesus walked during his passion and death, we can recreate a visit to Jerusalem with the stations of the Cross. We can imagine what it would be like to actually witness these events because it helps us realize the powerful sacrifice Jesus made for us.
