Volunteer Informational Meeting
If you are interested in volunteering to help with the 2021 Mane Event, this meeting is for you! We will be hosting an informational meeting on Monday, March 29 at 8:00am in the small cafeteria and Tuesday, March 30 at 7:00pm via Zoom. During this meeting, we will be discussing various details of the event as well as specific needs that need to be filled. If you are interested in helping to make this most important fund raiser a success, please join us!

Diaper Drive
Thank you for all of the diaper donations and for the money donated in the classroom thus far. We have a week and a half to meet our diaper collecting goal! We are behind our goal but confident Denver families can depend on our STM Catholic Community. Would you please consider picking up diapers on your next grocery, Costco, Target run? Any money being collected in the classrooms will be used to purchase diapers. Let’s show our neighbors they can depend on us for their sweet babies! Thank you!
Did you know?
- More than 67,000 children in Colorado each year need diapers their families can't afford
- Diapers cannot be purchased with food stamp benefits or through the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program
- Early childhood facilities require a one-week supply of diapers for children to attend and most don't accept cloth diapers - making disposable diapers essential
- Working parents say they miss one to four days of work a month due to a shortage of diapers. Without access to disposable diapers, parents report drying urine-soaked diapers and using plastic bags when funds run low, leading to painful diaper rash and health complications.

2021 CSAL 3v3 Basketball Tournament and Registration
CSAL will be hosting their annual 3v3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 (in case of cancellation, May 21st will be the back-up date) hosted on the outside courts at Powell Middle School (8000 S Corona Way, Littleton, CO 80122). The tournament is available to boys and girls in 3rd through 8th Grades. Advanced registration is required through the CSAL website. Go to www.csalden.org, select “Register Now”, then click “CSAL 3v3 Basketball Tournament”.
Three brackets will be played-3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th, and 7th and 8th-this is a coed tournament. Additional brackets may be created as result of registration. The cost to participate is $27 per person and is payable at the time of registration (refunds will not be provided). Registration opens Monday, March 29th and closes Friday, April 30th.
Students registering will be able to request their teammates but those names will need to be inputted at the time of registration. Teams must have 3 players but no more than 5 are allowed to be on a team. For participants who do not have a full team or who will be registering as a solo player, he/she will be placed with other individual players or on teams that don’t have 5 players. Teams do not need coaches.
Many details of the tournament will be based on the number of participants, please note the following information:
- Registration opens March 29th and closes on April 30th
- Saturday, May 15th, 2021. 8am start – end TBD(maybe as late as 8pm). 7th and 8th grades will play in the afternoon since the Spring Championships might be played earlier in the day
- Three levels. Coed. 3rd/4th grades, 5th/6th grades, and 7th/8th grades. Additional levels/brackets may be created resulting from the number of registrations
- 3rd and 4th grade brackets may play on courts on a lower rim if equipment can be rented
- Cost $27 per person includes 4 games minimum
- Members of the team are to wear similar colors or an identical jersey. Bring two different color tops in case the other team is wearing the same color. Ask your Athletic Director if the players can wear their school's jersey
- 3 players min & 5 max
- Deadline to register Friday, April 30th
- COVID Protocols will be communicated as the tournament approaches. Tri-County Health guidelines will be followed.

Travel Protocol Reminders
Please remember if you are planning to travel over Easter and Spring Break, we require a 72 hour quarantine from the date you return to Colorado when flying. If you are planning an international trip, please use the following link for the protocols and guidelines, which indicate you will need to get tested days 3 - 5 after return to Colorado, and then an additional 7 days, even if the test is negative.

Colorado Ballet
Registration is open for our final session for the 20-21 school year. Feel free to share this email with any dancers you think may be interested! There are three options for classes:
MONDAYS
Jazz Heroes: We invite students to try out all of their best superhero movements as we explore various dance concepts and learn jazz basics through the lens of their favorite superhero. Kick high into the air! See how a cape moves in a spin! Create a power pose! We can't wait to marvel at your moves.
Grades: 1st - 4th
Time: 4:00 - 4:45
Dates: 4/5 - 5/10
Cost: Sliding scale*
WEDNESDAYS
Every Body Dance!: We invite students to come dance in fun and creative ways while also learning basic ballet skills. These classes will take place virtually over Zoom and will offer opportunities for students to not only move, dance and have fun, but also the opportunity to connect with their peers and create new friendships.
Grades: ECE - 2nd
Time: 4:00 - 4:45
Dates: 4/7 - 5/13

THURSDAYS
World Folk Dance: Dancers will go around the world in this class series! Folk dances around the world were made by the people for the people and were created to bring communities together, often in celebration. Students will go on a virtual dance journey, learning traditional folk dances from countries like Brazil, Israel, South Africa, Denmark, and beyond!
Grades: K - 3rd
Time: 4:00 - 4:45
Dates: 4/8 - 5/14
