Sacred Heart CYO Spaghetti Dinner

Cost: $10 adults, $5 for children 5-11, under 5 free.
Benefits support youth group in parish and offset costs to attend the National Catholic Youth Conference this Fall.

St. Augustine Sunday Religious Education NOTICE
Dr. Tony Butler, St. Augustine DRE, resigned this past week to explore other opportunites. He has recently completed a doctorate degree and is actively pursuing other carrer paths. I know he was very instrumental during COVID and keeping St. Augustine connected virtually. We wish him well moving forward and are thankful for his contributions to St. Augustine, especially during this past year.
This Sunday's Religious Education will be canceled and we will be in contact with all the families about our Sunday Religious Education Plans very soon!
Wednesday Evening Religious Education, Youth Group and Confirmation Will Continue to Meet as scheduled.

Year of St. Joseph
On December 8th, Pope Francis inaugurated a year dedicated to St. Joseph to commemorate the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph's dedication as Universal Patron of the Catholic Church.
To mark this occasion, Pope Franics issed an Apostolic Letter on St. Joseph, which I highly encourage everyone to read and to use in your increased devotion to St. Jospeh.
We will begin to plan public devotions to St. Jospeh this year.

Also, the Apostolic Penitentiary announced a special Plenary Indulgence for the Year of St. Joseph. The plenary indulgence will be granted under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, detachment from sin, and prayer for the Pope’s intentions) to those who participate in the Year of St Joseph in any of the following ways: (Dec 8 2020 - Dec 8 2021)
- Meditate for at least 30 minutes on the Lord’s Prayer or take part in a Spiritual Retreat with meditation on St. Joseph
- Perform a spiritual or corporal act of mercy following St. Joseph’s example
- For families or engaged couples who recite the Holy Rosary together
- Entrust your daily work to St. Joseph or ask St. Joseph’s intercession for the unemployed to find dignifying work
- Recite the Litany of St. Joseph or any other Prayer to St. Joseph for the persecuted Church and relief of all Christians suffering from persecution
