Second Sunday of Lent
MASS SCHEDULE
We invite you to join us at Mass. Please follow the guidelines for attending Mass:
- Attendance is limited to 25% capacity (approximately 250 at Saint Kilian and 150 at Holy Sepulcher)
- All in attendance must wear a mask while in the building (2 years old and over)
- Maintain the social distance, 6 feet between family groups
- Do not crowd the restrooms
- Do not gather in groups after Mass.
- Communion will be distributed at the end of Mass
- Do not attend Mass if you are sick.
- The Bishop has continued until further notice his dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sunday and holydays.

2021 PARISH SHARE
The annual 2021 Parish Share Program begins this weekend. The theme this year is “Finding Joy in Giving”.
Each year, you answer this call to care for one another by sharing God’s blessings and building up the kingdom. It is not easy for us to ask for donations, when we know so many family budgets have been affected over the past year. Yet the ripple effect of the pandemic has made full participation in Parish Share critically important if Catholic ministry is to remain strong.
Your contributions are deeply appreciated, much needed, and make a real difference in the lives of your fellow parishioners and neighbors. Careful thought is given to the use of Parish Share funds. Your gift supports the work of Jesus, offering aid to those in need and teaching children by example about the love of God.
Parish share preaches the Gospel throughout our region by:
- Supporting parishes, schools, and programs. Parish Share provides resources necessary for parishes, school, and programs throughout our diocese to show the presence of Christ with us.
- Supporting the needs of older adults and the less fortunate. Catholic Charities, Roselia Center and Mon Valley Social Services are among the many social programs receiving Parish Share support.
- Nurturing young Catholics. Through campus and youth ministry programs, Parish Share helps to bolster the spiritual development of young adults Catholics.
- Providing formation and training for permanent deacons. Your contribution provides for the formation of permanent deacons who are training to serve in active ministry throughout the diocese.
- Helping parishes to promote the Gospel of Life. Parish Share helps in educating parishioners on pro-life issues, counseling women and teenagers in crisis, and reaching out to women and men suffering from the trauma of abortion.
It is important to remember that all funds received in excess of our goal remain in the parish without assessment by the diocese. Please give what you are able. Pledge cards and return envelopes are in the mail. Please call the parish office with any questions or assistance with this matter.

Stations of the Cross will be held each Friday during Lent at both Holy Sepulcher and Saint Kilian Churches at 7:00 pm.
The object of the Stations is to help the faithful to make in spirit, as it were, a pilgrimage to the chief scenes of Christ's sufferings and death.”
Most simply, the stations of the cross are about remembering Christ’s suffering for our sake.
PARENTS OF TEENS GROUP: Anyone with a son or daughter in middle through high school is invited to join the parish's new Facebook support group, "SKHS Parents of Teens." The group is private, and cannot be found via search, so to request membership, you need to visit this link, which you are welcome to share with other parents of teens who may be interested!

- Our contactless drive through takeout service will be held at the church location. There will be no pickup at the school this year.
- Please make sure to select a specific pickup time for your order.
- Print your email confirmation or have it ready to show on your smart phone for expedited service.
- If you are unable to order online, our phone line will be open for ordering from 1:30-6:00 p.m. on Fish Fry Fridays. (724) 625-1665 ext. 9
ALL orders need to pay ahead by credit card online or give card # over the phone.
No payments accepted at the Fish Fry.
We are always appreciative of the delicious desserts provided by our Parish/School families. We only need a small number desserts this year for our nursing home deliveries (Please sign up on Volunteer Link). We hope to continue our regular Fish Fry Dine In service with dessert next year.

Thank you to all who continued to support the Kilian Cupboard. The food bank supplies bags of food on a weekly basis to those in need. Currently, the Kilian Cupboard is in need of your help with food and pantry donations. Donations can be put in the cart inside Saint Kilian Church or at the concession stand area to the left of the church. All non-perishable items are appreciated. At this time, there is a special need for the following items:
- Graham crackers
- Cake mixes/icing
- Beef Stew
- Small jars of jelly
- Chunky soups
- Granola bars
- Boxed Scalloped or Au gratin potatoes
- Individual instant potato pouches

February 28 - Second Sunday of Lent:
Lent is a call not just to“give up something”but more important to“give something for the poor. ”Wherever you live in the parish, there are poor families within walking distance of your home. When in need, they ring the rectory bell. They are, in effect, ringing your doorbell.
Your alms giving in the St. Vincent de Paul poor box will help the poor to celebrate the grace of God’s love this Easter.

FRIDAY, March 12th, 2021 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
40 DAYS FOR LIFE is a campaign to draw attention to the evils of Abortion through Prayer, Fasting and Constant Vigil for 40 days. During these 40 days, Pro-Lifers will be standing outside the Planned Parenthood abortion center at 933 Liberty Ave., Pgh., from 7am-7pm, praying to end legalized abortion in our country.
From past experience, we know that the no-show rate for abortion appointments is as high as 75% on days when we are praying outside the abortion facility. Our presence does make a difference!
Holy Sepulcher and St. Kilian parishioners are invited to participate in the Vigil on Friday, March 12th, from 11am-3pm. We usually do 2 hour shifts:11-1 or 1-3; car-pooling can be arranged.
