My friends in Christ,

Thank you so much for your support and prayers this week - I have been recovering this week after an allergic reaction last week. I am feeling better, though I'm still a little hoarse.

This weekend, many of our students will observe their first Sacrament of Reconciliation in a socially-distanced event in the Hyland Center. Please pray for them as they prepare for this occasion of grace.

Our catechumens, those preparing for baptism at the Cathedral and mission at Easter will celebrate the Rite of Election this Monday. The Rite of Election celebrates God choosing and calling our catechumens. Please surround the elect with prayer as they prepare for baptism at Easter.

Make the Most out of Lent

Lent is a season of penance. It is an opportunity to examine your life, give your struggles to God, and invite Him to help you become a better person through deeper prayer, small self-denials, and acts of generosity.

In addition to praying the Stations of the Cross, there are a lot of ways to grow closer to Christ this Lent. We've compiled a few ideas below.
