Annick Boulet has a master’s degree in social psychology and has a passion for personal growth. She has a strong love for the Lord and desires to share how a relationship with God can transform one’s life. She taught psychology at the University of Saint-Boniface for 6 years and currently works as a spiritual care provider for Actionmarguerite. In addition, she teaches the Personal Growth pillar and is part of the Formation Team for Nathanael at the Archdiocese of St-Boniface. She hopes to continue pursuing a career as a public speaker on the issues surrounding personal growth, mental health and spirituality.

I visited the Winnipeg River Museum again this week to see the Nativity Scenes- 300 from around the world. A wee bit delayed due to Covid! It is in Saint Georges near Pine Falls. Amazing exhibit. Let's go next year! The Catholic church next door could serve us lunch........just planning and dreaming......
This school scene is also in the museum. Both Barbara and I went to The Convent of the Sacred Heart and this brought back such memories of the nuns there! Do you remember these historic habits?These nuns came from Amiens, France to Canada in 1842, and to Winnipeg in 1935. Declining enrolment, lack of government funding, for private schools led to the closure in the early 70's.
It was run as a convent and full grade school
for girls by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart, who had for decades been in a smaller school in what is now Westgate School in Armstrong Point in Winnipeg. When they arrived, they were where Ravenscourt is!
This building used to be an RCMP headquarters, then a City of Winnipeg building, and still sits right beside Assiniboine Park on the west side. (I used to bike through the park to get to school pre grade 9.)
