It’s so wonderful to see so many of you at our Lenten activities – Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Church and Scripture Study on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in Whitemarsh Hall. Adoration on Tuesdays continues to be well attended. Sacred Heart is such a faith-filled community. As a reminder, during Lent I am hearing confessions on the following days and times:
- Wednesdays & Thursdays from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
- Fridays after Stations of the Cross in the Church.
- Saturdays from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the Church.
I invite you to take the opportunity to spiritually prepare for Our Lord’s Resurrection by going to confession.
During this year dedicated to St. Joseph, Sacred Heart will be doing a 33-day retreat ending with a consecration to St. Joseph. It begins Tuesday, March 30 and ends on Saturday, May 1, the Feast of St. Joseph, the worker. Please register by March 21, on-line at the parish website under Events and News or in the Parish Office.
This weekend, March 13 & 14, we have a second collection for Catholic Relief Services. You may make your check payable to Sacred Heart Church, note on the memo line “Catholic Relief Services” and put it in an envelope marked “Catholic Relief Services” then place it in the poor box marked Offertory Collection.
Finally, I want to pass along a huge thank you to all who made lunches, donated supplies, and made financial donations to help the homeless during Warm Nights the week of February 21. Sacred Heart supplied 820 lunches for the week along with provided needed services. Please keep the homeless in your prayers. Thank you to Brendan Gaeng for coordinating Warm Nights here at Sacred Heart.
May God bless and protect you and your families.
Peace,
Father Potts
