Good Morning St. Scholastica!!
Rejoice our Salvation is near!
I made it in to the Church this morning and yes it’s slick and there are winter conditions. I will be celebrating the 8:30 am, the 11:30 am, and the 5:30 pm Masses as usual.
The Archbishop has granted everyone a dispensation from the Sunday Obligation during these times.
Therefor, you have the option of attending Mass, in person or online at our YouTube channel by clicking stscholasticaerie.org and clicking the Online Mass / YouTube button. Yes you also have the option of not attending Mass as well. However, For the hearty souls, with good vehicles who can navigate the streets and sidewalks safely and are able to get in the door of the Church, I will be celebrating the Mass and welcome you even if your not signed up.
For communion at all the Masses today the norm will be to return to your seats via the main isle as the ice and snow will prevent the going outside and around to the main entrance. If you want you can always do so but I will make this clear for those who are concerned about social distancing that you are notified in advanced. Please be respectful of others as they make their way to and from Holy Communion.
Our Volunteer Maintenance team will be doing their best to accommodate clearing the sidewalks for the Masses -Thank you maintenance team for helping out and lending a hand! Your labors help others to encounter Christ May you be blessed!
The 5:30pm Mass might start a bit late to accommodate my drive time from Sacred Heart of Mary but it should still happen. If there are changes I will notify you through Flocknotes.
For all those signed up to volunteer for Mass ministries, please do not feel obligated to come for your ministry will be covered by me.
May God grant you many blessings and May you take time to thank God for the moisture and for the desire for communion that Jesus has placed in your hearts through your baptism! This is an extra-ordinary gift of God!
