March - What Happens when we sin?!
The Catholic Church is glorious and ornate and regal, but she is also pragmatic, practical and REAL. One of the most painful, but "realest" parts of being human is that we falter and fail sometimes. In HIS omniscience, God realizes this and gives us the Church, not as a guarantee of perfection, but as a path back to Him WHEN we sin.
At its most basic level, a sin is a human choice that is different than the choice God wanted us to make in that situation. This month we will be discussing sin: the nature, cause, types, and reality of those "bad" human choices. We will also be discussing God's Grace - the outpouring of love that helps us make "good" choices and also welcomes us back and washes us clean when we misstep.
We'll also talk about the eternal consequence of sin and the last four things - Death, Judgment, Heaven and Hell (and what we can do to avoid the last one!)
Finally, we will also talk about the part the saints play in our search for Grace, redemption, and forgiveness, specifically Mary and her role as our Mother.
It's a lot to cover (so if you don't have questions, you aren't paying attention!)
