Let us count our blessings this weekend and come together to give thanks to God as a Catholic community as well as to pray for the needs of the world, especially our neighbors in south Texas devastated by the flood. Please see the following announcement from the diocese about how to help:
The Diocese of Amarillo is known for its generous and caring people. We stand in solidarity with our Gulf Coast brothers and sisters in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Please make monetary donations to:
Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle
Hurricane Harvey Fund
PO Box 15127
Amarillo TX 79105-5127
Credit cards will be accepted on their web site at

As of Friday, September 1, a total of $33,440.00 has been received.
In addition, a second collection will be taken the weekend of September 9th/10th. This money will be forwarded to the USCCB Office of National Collections and be used for long term rebuilding assistance.
