A great full week! Thank you all for coming to conferences! I had 100% participation! It was great to see faces again, even if it was just for conferences! Report cards can be expected home with your child on Tuesday.
Preston picked a PJ day for our class as his PBIS reward! We will have PJ day on Monday. We also earned another popcorn/movie party through Moby Max! That will be Friday afternoon.
Science was fun this week. We are learning about magnets, magnetic force and how force changes motion. We had some fun hands-on activities and we were even able to share our knowledge with Mrs. Clarahan when she stopped in to see us!
Math has taken us to telling time to the minute and time intervals. Please take a look at the math papers coming home and what we are doing at school and maybe give your 3rd grader some scenarios to figure out at home. Time intervals are usually not easy for kids.
We started the year with double and triple digit addition and subtraction so we are going to use the NCAA basketball tournament to practice this again! We will add scores to find total points scored in each game, subtract scores to find differences, add up total points scored. It will be a fun way to get some practice in!
We have one more week in our big Reading books then into a paperback book for the remainder of the year! That means 6 more weeks of the series then a little time to refresh our minds on all the concepts introduced to us this year!
Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy watching the NCAA tournament!
