May Crowning Mass
Tuesday, May 4 will be our STM Catholic May Crowning Mass. This is a closed Mass, meaning parents and other family members may not attend in person. The Mass will be live streamed beginning at 10:00am for everyone to watch; please see the link below. If you have a 3rd grader or an 8th grader participating in the Mass, please know pictures will be taken and available in the near future.

Music Showcase
As we know, this year has been challenging for everyone, and I can’t think of a better way to bring us all together and show our strength in our community at STM Catholic. So, Mrs. Burkholder and the students would like to share some songs with all of you in an “End of year Musical Showcase” on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 2:00pm. Each grade will be performing 1 – 3 songs and then all of the STM students will be singing a Finale together! The performance will be recorded and shared with you all when it is up and ready. I hope this will be a way for all of us to feel more connected and part of a family, a body of Christ.

Beta Harvest Day
A special thank you to the STM community for another successful Beta Harvest Day on Thursday, April 29. As a school community we brought in 818 items of food! Thank you so much for your generosity. Special thanks to 7th grade Beta Members who volunteered their time to collect, count, and organize the donations. Our last harvest day of the year will be Thursday, May 13! Thanks!

Father Daughter Dance

Summer Solutions
Parents, it is time to order your Summer Solutions! Please see the Summer Solutions Flyer below for a promo code. Books should be mailed directly to students' home.
The goal of Summer Solutions is to provide your child with the necessary review they need to retain their skills. With this being said, it is important that they are reviewing skills that they learned from this last year. Because many of our math classes use different books and cover different skills, we want to help you choose the appropriate book for your child. Math is mandatory, but English/Grammar is optional.
If your child is in grade level K-5, please order the grade level your child is currently in. For example, if your child were in 5th grade, during the 2020-2021 school year, you would purchase the 5th-grade math Summer Solution. DO NOT choose the Standards Based Book. Please order the Summer Solutions (Minutes a Day) Book. If your child is in middle school, please follow the directions below. You will need to know what math class level your child is in. The options are S1, S2, T1 or T2.

Roundtable Discussion on ADHD and Medication
The Learning Specialists of STM cordially invite you to an informal evening of discussion on debunking the myths that surround medication for children with ADHD on May 12th with one of our very own STM parents, Val Haas, Registered Pharmacist. Mrs. Haas has volunteered to come share her expertise about the confusing world of medication for children with ADHD.
This informal event will be a round table discussion where parents can ask Mrs. Haas questions on the different types of medications there are for ADHD, as well as side effects, etc. This is a great opportunity to gather more information from an experienced professional.

Mullen is offering Youth Camps in the Arts and Sciences this summer. These camps are for rising 5th through 8th graders to gain additional exposure to the arts and as well as have fun on a high school campus!
