Outdoor Lab
We are excited to announce that both the 6th & 7th graders will be able to attend the JPII Outdoor Lab program in the fall. The classes are scheduled to attend Outdoor Lab Wednesday, September 15th – Friday, September 17th. The JPII Outdoor Lab is a wonderful experience that allows our students to grow deeper in their faith, form deeper bonds with their classmates, and learn more about science. Please know that this program is optional, and will cost around $300 per student.

STM School Supply Drive, sponsored by Beta Club and American Heritage Girls
As we wind down our school year and clean out desks, lockers, and backpacks, we are asking for donations of any unwanted and gently used, or new school supplies to help provide school supplies for lower-income students for next year. Examples of acceptable donations include unused loose-leaf paper; pencil sharpeners; pencils, crayons, colored pencils, highlighters or pens with at least half of their life left; rulers; usable (not dried) markers; folders; erasers; compasses; protractors; calculators; art supplies; book covers in good shape; and pencil boxes/bags. Each class will have a donation box, which will be picked up on the last day of school, June 4. Please bring in donations and help others in our community.

Spirit Night Tomorrow at Chick-fil-A
Don’t worry about dinner on Tuesday, May 25th! Head to Chick-fil-A and support STM Catholic School. We have two different locations participating - Greenwood Village and Highlands Ranch Town Center. Follow the instructions on each of the flyers. The Spirit Night will be from 5pm - 8pm at both locations.

Last Week of School Dress
We will be having free dress the last week of school! Please be sure to adhere to the dress code policies stated in the handbook. Please note that Friday, June 4 will be a DRESS UP day for mass.

Cross Country in the Fall
Hey, STM families with 5th-8th graders NEXT YEAR – as of now, we are planning on hosting a cross country team for STM this fall. We take any level of runner for this program and would love for your kids to come outside and run with us. Practices will be two nights a week until 3:45 (dates TBD), but we wanted to let you know now that this sport should be BACK ON in the fall. Please email Mrs. Basile (abigailb@stmcatholic.org) and/or Ms. Weiland (kiraw@stmcatholic.org) with any questions. Let’s get running!

Essay Contest Winners
Congratulations to our three winners of the eighth-grade essay contest. In conjunction with The Colorado Holocaust Educators and the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education, the 8th grade wrote an essay about Nazi propaganda and propaganda in general for a cross-curricular unit in history and English. Our top three essays were written by Jules Arnett, Spencer, Buege, and Vaughn Filby. These winners received three books about the Holocaust that were awarded by The Colorado Holocaust Educators. In addition, classroom sets and individual Holocaust resources have been awarded to St. Thomas More Catholic School to continue their Holocaust studies. Thank you to the classroom educators and administrators of St. Thomas More Catholic School for your support. Congrats!

Summer Solutions
Parents, it is time to order your Summer Solutions! Please see the Summer Solutions Flyer below for a promo code. Books should be mailed directly to students' home.
The goal of Summer Solutions is to provide your child with the necessary review they need to retain their skills. With this being said, it is important that they are reviewing skills that they learned from this last year. Because many of our math classes use different books and cover different skills, we want to help you choose the appropriate book for your child. Math is mandatory, but English/Grammar is optional.
If your child is in grade level K-5, please order the grade level your child is currently in. For example, if your child were in 5th grade, during the 2020-2021 school year, you would purchase the 5th-grade math Summer Solution. DO NOT choose the Standards Based Book. Please order the Summer Solutions (Minutes a Day) Book. If your child is in middle school, please follow the directions below. You will need to know what math class level your child is in. The options are S1, S2, T1 or T2.
