A NOTE FROM FR. DOOLEY
Hello Friends -
As we enter into Holy Week I'm encouraged to see more and more people returning to Mass! I'm anticipating that this Holy Week will be very moving for all of us as we reflect on the suffering we've endured over the past year, and remember that our Lord understands our suffering. I encourage you to participate fully in the Holy Week liturgies that lead us to the glory of Easter! I give the details of Holy Week in this week's Wednesday Weekly video, and you'll also find the Triduum schedule below. (Reminder: there is no daily Mass at OLP on Tuesday next week because of the Chrism Mass at the cathedral.)
Be sure to drop off Rice Bowls in the box in the gathering space sometime before April 11. Thank you to all of you who participated in this Lenten observance. I hope it was a blessing to your family!
As you know, reservations are required for Easter Sunday Masses, and at this point both the 9:30 and noon Masses are nearly full. If you've made a reservation but your plans have changed, be sure to cancel the reservation so someone else can attend. (Reservations can be cancelled or changed until Monday, March 29.) No reservations are required for the Easter Vigil.
I was planning to share with you the complete calendar of 75th Anniversary events this week, but I decided instead to focus on Holy Week. I'll share the calendar next week. (In observance of Good Friday, the newsletter won't go out until Saturday next week.)
Wishing you all a truly holy Holy Week.
Under the Patronage of Our Lady of Peace,
Fr. Sean Dooley
