Dear Faithful Parishioners and Guests of St. Thomas of Canterbury,
First, I would like to joyfully thank God for the life and faith that He shares with us through the Paschal Mystery of Jesus – His Passion, Death and Resurrection. Therefore, please join me in thanking God and celebrating our life and faith at one of our Easter Sunday Masses.
Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord “Easter Vigil” Saturday (4/3) – 5:15pm
·Baptism of Craig Talbot
Easter Sunday (4/4):
·Easter Sunday Mass – 10am
·Easter Sunday Mass – 11:30am (Inside the Church)
Second, I would like to sincerely thank you for your faithful participation of the Holy Triduum (the Most Solemn Mass – comprising of three days – of the entire liturgical year). We had at least 150 people attending each of these three days: Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil. Thank you for all the hard work everyone put in behind the scene for the beautiful liturgies.
Third, I would like to humbly thank Craig Talbot for saying yes to become a child of God and a member of Christ’s Body, the Church, and of our community. The St. Thomas of Canterbury Parish Community and I look forward to celebrating with him and his family tonight at the Easter Vigil as he will be baptized, confirmed and receive the Eucharist. Thanks to Barbara and her RCIA Team for making this possible.
Fourth, I would like to also kindly thank Stevie for preparing the Easter candy bags for our children attending Masses this weekend. As a tradition of this parish, we had Easter Egg Hunting on Easter Sunday, but because of COVID, we will be handing out these candy bags after each Mass to all the children. Looking forward to seeing the children at Mass – they are the new life and joy of this parish.
Last, but not least, I would like to continue my thank you's, to Marie for leading the Youth Choir at our Youth Masses. They will join us at our next 10am Sunday Outdoor Mass next weekend (4/11) as we celebrate the Divine Mercy Sunday. Thanks to Lucy for working closely with them.
May the joy of the Risen Lord be with you!
Happy Easter!
Fr. Andrew
