Brothers:
My apologies for having to resend, but I want to be clear, Holy Hour is TUESDAY, March 30, 2021!!
I hope this note finds everyone well and healthy.
Passion or Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week. A week to slow down and reflect on the joy Jesus has provided to all with the greatest sign of love – dying on the cross.
A great way to start the week is joining Deacon Leo for Lenten Holy Hour this TUESDAY, March 30, 2021. Starting in the St. James Church at 6:30 PM is a half hour of Gregorian chants. Then Holy Hour starts at 7PM starting with Exposition, followed by Evening Prayer and plenty time for personal reflection. The Hour concludes with Benediction.
Spend some quiet time with our Lord. Actually, Our Lord is inviting you to do just that!
There is a lot going on in the world currently. Another tool you can use to right yourself is a series of video available on Formed. Our fellow brother, Jerry Peruski has arranged for access to the Formed site for a limited time. Follow the instructions https://signup.formed.org/ by entering our zip code 48374 and selecting St. James Parish along with your name and email. That’s it, you are in.
Please note there is no obligation as we are not signing up for a subscription, this is just a 2-week trial period.
There are many other opportunities to spend time with the Lord this Holy Week including Stations of the Cross at 12 Noon on Friday and the Easter Vigil on Saturday at 8PM.
REMINDER: NEXT GATHERING – THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2021
Easter Sunday is just the start of the Easter celebration. Easter Thursday (Thursday, April 8, 2021) will be our next gathering. We plan to meet in the Disciples Room at St. James at 7PM that evening. Please let me know if you can attend in person, or if you would like us to have a Zoom link available.
I hope you have a very Bless Holy Week.
See you in Church!!
John Fitzpatrick
