Dear Parishioners,
As we enter into Holy Week, I know we are all grateful to be able to gather as a faith community to celebrate the Sacred Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. I am happy to have seen an increase in attendance at Mass each of the past several weeks. I continue to pray for the health and wellbeing of all of you.
With the expectation of many returning to Mass for the first time since last March, I would like to offer a simple reminder of some of the changes we have made in order to follow local protocols.
I ask all to wear face coverings when coming to Mass. There may be some present who are not able to wear these coverings for a variety of reasons. Please respect the needs of all present and avoid all confrontation by simply providing the space necessary for all to worship.
As you enter the church, there will be sandwich boards directing you as to which color coded pews to use for that Mass. This spacing allows for proper distancing.
Since there will be no offertory procession or collection, the ushers will be in the Narthex to receive your contributions for the support of the parish. I greatly appreciate your support for our parish.
The 9:30 and 11:30 masses will take place in both the church and in the Social Hall. We anticipate large congregations for these Masses. As these spaces fill, we ask that you use the space in the hallways by the classrooms to gather with proper spacing. TVs will be places in the halls in order for all to see and hear the Mass.
In this holy time for our Church, let us pray for one another, welcome any visitors with joy, and praise God for His goodness.
Happy Easter,
Fr. Black
