A NOTE FROM FR. DOOLEY
Hello Friends -
Alleluia! He is risen! Happy Easter! As I'm sure you've already heard, both of our Easter Sunday Masses are full, but I hope you'll consider attending the Easter Vigil which begins at 8:30pm on Holy Saturday. You're also welcome to attend Mass during the Octave of Easter (Easter Sunday to Divine Mercy Sunday.) During the Octave, we'll follow our regular daily Mass schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you in the coming week!
Between the Easter season, the 75th anniversary events, and the normal activity of our parish, we have a lot coming up! I've highlighted some coming events below, including a calendar of all of our upcoming 75th anniversary events. And of course, you can always find more information in the bulletin. (Bulletins - Our Lady of Peace - Columbus, OH (olp-parish.org))
I will be out of the office this coming week, spending time with my family. Please welcome the Paulist Fathers from the St. Thomas More Newman Center at OSU, and Fr. Mike Hartge. They'll be filling in for me while I'm away. I hope you're able to enjoy time with your loved ones in these glorious days of Easter.
Next Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday. Join me as we receive and embrace the mercy of our Lord through Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Confession, and praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. The schedule of events can be found below.
Finally, if you've watched any of our live-streamed Masses, you've been blessed by the talents and generosity of parishioner, Dalton Summers. Dalton has graciously and faithfully donated his time and talent to our parish over the past year, bringing the liturgy to you virtually. Dalton moved to South Carolina this week, and we wish him all the best in his new endeavors. With Dalton's departure, we have decided to discontinue the live-streamed Mass. You can find many options for live-streamed Masses on the diocesan website: Catholic Diocese of Columbus - Columbus, OH (columbuscatholic.org). Please keep Dalton, and his fiancee Jen in your prayers. Thank you, Dalton!
Wishing you Easter peace and joy!
Under the Patronage of Our Lady of Peace,
Fr. Sean Dooley
