Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11, 2021
Divine Mercy Sunday celebration will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 after the 11:30 Mass, at 12:30 PM in the church. The celebration will include Eucharistic Exposition, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Talk, and Benediction.
Remember: If you go to confession during the Lenten or Easter Season you fulfill the obligation for confession for Mercy Sunday.
Worship Aid for Good Friday. The Gospel of the Passion is read in multiple voices with specific parts for the congregation. Plan to follow along using the worship aid on the parish website. You can use your smartphone or print a copy and bring it with you.

Cemetery Guidelines during Mowing Season During mowing season flowers can only be in vases on the side next to the stone; on the head stone or over the head stone. There cannot be any planting of flowers or shrubs in the cemetery. Also, no glass containers or ornaments on the ground; only on the head stone and attached securely. We will have no choice but to remove the above items if the guidelines are not followed. Thank you.
Outreach
Our Daily Bread. Thanks to everyone who took pans and returned the frozen casseroles to the Parish freezer.
Our next distribution of casserole pans will be held on May 8 and 9 at the Masses.

Easter Food Project. Thanks to everyone who donated groceries and money for Easter. The groceries for our families have been moved over to the Mason-Dixon Community Services office in Delta. And we were able to help restock our Parish Pantry.

According to the Guttmacher Institute (Guttmacher.org), there were over 862,000 abortions in 2017 (most recent report). As we celebrate our Risen Lord and contemplate Jesus’ sacrifice for us,
remember all these little ones so precious to him and pray that God’s plan for creation is once again respected and followed.

FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Program - On March 24, FEMA released the interim policy guidance on the COVID-19 Funeral Assistance program. It will be a reimbursement program for eligible funeral expenses for deaths related to COVID-19 that occurred after January 20, 2020. Perpetual Adoration at the Basilica (409 Cathedral Street) Beginning May 31, 2021 the Basilica of the Assumption will launch Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. This will be the first time Baltimore City has ever had perpetual adoration! Please sign-up for an hour and pray for our City, our Country and our Church. The Basilica will have security around the clock. At night, a security guard will walk you to your car. Everything is well lit and secure. Only scheduled adorers will get a code to access the adoration chapel. Year of St. Joseph
World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, July 25. Pope Francis has instituted a Church-wide celebration in honor of the elderly. Starting this year, it will be held on the fourth Sunday of July, close to the liturgical memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, grandparents of Jesus.
Plenary Indulgence Pilgrimage.
Archbishop Lori encourages Catholics to make a pilgrimage to one or more of the nine churches in our archdiocese named in honor of St. Joseph. An indulgence for the Year of St. Joseph will be offered for visits to the churches named for the saint.
One special feature of this decree is an invitation to participate in a spiritual retreat that includes meditation on St Joseph and contemplation of the Lord's Prayer.
