SAFETY NOTE:
Please consider your own health requirements and take personal responsibility.
We have no intention to turn anyone away from Mass at Easter. You were deprived of attendance last year due to the pandemic. We do not want you to miss it again this year.
Our Diocese of Phoenix has encouraged parishes to adapt and accommodate during this phase of the pandemic, particularly as we expect more people come for Masses during Holy Week and Easter.
Bishop Olmsted, told us 3/25 in his comments about the latest Executive Order from Governor Ducey of Arizona, that:
"The dispensation from Sunday Mass and Holy Day obligation remains in place. Those who are vulnerable or who care for others with underlying chronic health conditions are encouraged to stay home. In addition, those who are not feeling well are asked to remain at home. Both are encouraged to watch Mass on television or via livestream. The dispensation does not relieve the faithful from their sacred duty to keep holy the sabbath, so all are encouraged to spend time in prayer, thanksgiving and rest on Sundays."
MASK:
Please wear your mask while in church and maintain safe distances from people who are not in your household. People probably should not sit directly behind or in front of other people.
SOCIAL DISTANCING:
We will pull away the rope barriers on pews if necessary to accommodate crowds. Even so, try not to sit directly in front of or behind other people. Alternate your seating arrangements such as end, middle, end. If you find yourself uncomfortably close to anyone, please do yourself a favor and move to where you find more space.
We are unable to enforce social distancing. People are people and many want to be here especially at Easter Mass.
The lowest attendance at Easter is normally at the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Easter Sunday. This is probably your best choice if you are nervous about sitting too close to others. We are unable to guarantee the size of crowds at any Mass.
Thank you for being patient, hospitable and charitable toward the faithful children of God who want to attend Mass.
