Dear Parishioners,
Happy Easter Monday! Though the parish office is closed today I couldn't let the day go by without thanking everyone for such a wonderful beginning of celebrating the Easter Season. I realize many parishioners were praying with us from home again this year and we continue to miss you in person but appreciate your prayers, support, and desire to one day return in person. I am so very grateful this year that many parishioners were able to return to church and celebrate Easter here in person. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in navigating the reservation and check-in for attending Easter Sunday Mass. We will continue to monitor Mass sign-ups and counts which I imagine will continue to tick upwards as more get fully vaccinated and return to church. I will communicate any new changes in what to do in future announcements.
Please consider joining fellow parishioners for two events this coming Second Sunday of Easter, Divine Mercy Sunday. Our parish celebration of the Divine Mercy devotions take place Sunday afternoon from 2:30-3:30pm in church. Please come and pray in thanksgiving for Jesus' gift of our salvation, God's divine mercy, celebrated each time we come together to share in the Eucharist.
Also on Sunday, the parish is virtually hosting a screening of PRAY: The Story of Patrick Peyton. , join us from the comfort of your home for a free virtual parish screening of
PRAY: THE STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11 at 6:00 PM. PRAY is an inspiring documentary (77 minutes) about the life of a Holy Cross priest, Father Peyton, and his globetrotting mission of promoting family prayer, especially the Rosary, with his famous catchphrase
“The Family That Prays Together Stays Together.” There will be an optional post-screening Zoom discussion to share your feedback about Venerable Patrick Peyton, this “Soon to be Saint,” and the inspiring family stories in the film who testify to the power of prayer to open their hearts to the presence of God and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Register and you’ll be automatically entered into a raffle to win a Father Peyton gift box with a DVD.
