With the Easter Alleluia still resounding in our hearts, I want to pause and reflect on how wonderful the Easter Triduum was here at Sacred Heart. Each evening Mass and the Sunday Easter Masses were well attended with the faithful celebrating the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Our Lord!
I want to pass along my thanks to the numerous people who made our Easter Triduum so very special. Deacon Abeyta and Deacon Seith kept me focused and assisted with the Triduum Liturgies. Colin Snyder and Brendan Parlett ensured the myriad of details were all taken care of and everything ran seamlessly. The various choir members and musicians enhanced our liturgies with sacred music. The Extraordinary Ministers helped with the distribution of Holy Communion. Our Lectors read the scriptures with reverence and clarity. The ushers assisted our parishioners and guests. Our police officers facilitated with traffic control and provided a calming presence in the church. And to the many individuals who assisted with the decoration of the Chapel and Church. THANK YOU!
This Sunday, April 11, is the Second Sunday of Easter, also known as Divine Mercy Sunday. I want to invite you to attend the recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy to be said after the 12:00 p.m. (noon) Mass.
Let us continue to be people of Easter joy as we journey in this life on earth; knowing one day we will rejoice with Jesus in our eternal home.
Peace,
Father Potts
