TIMES OF REFRESHING

Divine Mercy Sunday!
Isn’t it just right that our Church would celebrate God’s mercy the week after Easter Sunday?
In a sense, God is telling us, “OK, my beloved! Now, you have figured out for yourself how much I love you… And I FORGIVE YOU!
Let’s just go on and work together to save mankind!”
Wow! God’s love is overpowering and His forgiveness is awe-inspiring!
Isn’t it time for us to empty our “load of bitterness and grudges” that have been weighing heavily on us?
I saw a movie once where an old lady who had suffered great indignity and pain was asked, “Aren’t you at all bothered by what they did to you?” She replied, “Oh yes! But I have chosen to forgive them. If I didn’t, I would be TOTALLY EXHAUSTED!”
Indeed, isn’t it tiring to have to carry that load in our hearts all our lives?
It really is our decision to remain enslaved in anger or be freed from it and live in peace.

Thanks are in order!
We would like to express our gratitude to those who have worked so hard to ensure that we had a wonderful Holy Week.
Unbeknownst to most, we received a long list of safety protocols from the Bishop’s office that we needed to adhere to.
I am proud to report that we followed it “to the letter”. Our Priests, Deacons, Lectors, Servers, Musicians did an excellent job with our liturgies.
I would also like to say “Thank You” to the Knights of Columbus headed by the Grand Knight, Frank Herran, who, with the Art expertise of Joe Paddock created an impressive Easter tableau.
