Dear Walla Walla Catholic School families,
Spring is here, and students are taking advantage of the warm weather with outdoor lunches, sports, and many other activities! Even though there have been many positives things regarding COVID-19 lately, our school protocols remain in place and we are still adhering strictly to them as we approach the end of the school year. This means that mask-wearing is still mandatory for all teachers and staff, and for all in attendance at school events. This also means that daily health screenings will continue, and that students should stay home from school if exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. It is vital that we continue to stay vigilant and do our part to avoid moving back into Phase 2. Thank you for your cooperation and continued companionship as move into the final months of this challenging year.
Important Note About Final Week of School
Because we made up some extra days over the course of the school year by removing days from break and adding days during conferences, the last day of school has been moved from the original date of June 15 to June 11 instead. This decision was made with guidance from the OSPI. We will meet the 180-day requirement for the year and the hour requirement for schools by June 11.
- For Assumption students, June 11 will be a half-day.
- DeSales students will have finals from June 9-11, and Monday, June 14 will be set aside for any necessary makeup work at DeSales.
- Senior graduation will be held on Sunday, June 6. We will communicate more details about that event soon!
Dates From 2021-22 Academic Calendar
We are still putting the finishing touches on the 2021-22 Academic Calendar, and will release a PDF copy of that soon. We know that the first day of school will be Monday, August 23, 2021, and the last day of school will be Thursday, June 9, 2022.
