MAP Testing
Wednesday, April 28 for students A-L in grades 9-11, independent study for M-Z and April 29 MAP test for students M-Z in grades 9-11 and independent study day for students A-L. All seniors will have an independent study day for both of those days. These students will also need to be in uniform. Tests will go from 8-11:30

Ambassador Applications
Applications are now being accepted for ambassadors for the 2021/22 school year. All students in grades 9-11 are invited to apply. Current ambassadors need to also re-apply if they are interested in being an ambassador for next year. Apply HERE.
Prom Dress Collection
We are expanding the uniform thrift shop next year to include prom and homecoming dresses and would like to start collecting them this spring. Retro dresses are welcome as well as newer ones. Please drop off outside the main office.
EdChoice Scholarship
Please be reminded that The EdChoice Scholarship Program is accepting applications. The priority deadline for expansion is April 30 and the prioirity deadline for traditions if May 15. The new Scholarship Income Verification System for parents/guardians is up and running! The system is available for families to enter and submit their income information electronically to the scholarship office for verification of low-income status. As part of the EXP3initiative (Explore, Experience, Express) we are pleased to announce two upcoming Career Treks: Advanced Manufacturing, Technology & Entrepreneurship and Engineering & Technology. Career Trek programs are week long summer experiences that bring students into the workplaces of corporate partners to expose them to potential career paths and broaden their understanding of industries. Students connect with employers in the real-world work setting. These supervised excursions allow students to learn from, interact with, and question professionals in job settings related to possible career fields. EXP3 Zoom into Your Future
Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics - Monday, April 26, 1pm
We are excited to add another Zoom into Your Future Program on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics on Monday, April 26 at 1pm. This session will feature alumnus Rehgan Avon from the Class of 2011 who is the CEO and co-founder of Ikonos Analytics and the founder of Women in Analytics. The deadline to register for this session will be Friday, April 23. The program will be held in the foods classroom of the North Wing. Lunch will be provided. Students can also attend remotely but must register. Students who are interested in these new breaking fields AND students who are still trying to figure out what they might be interested in should attend. This will be an ongoing section to keep you informed of any cases or exposure among our faculty/staff and students and how the community is doing with masks, hygiene, social distancing and disinfecting. If there is a positive case at school we will be communicating with you.*

Antigen Tests Available
Abbott BinaxNow at-home homerapid antigen tests for COVID-19 were made available to students in Ohio K-12 schools. We have a limited number of tests available to us at Elyria Catholic. If you are interested in having an at-home test for your student please email attendance@elyriacatholic.com.
If after taking the at-home rapid test and a positive result occurs, you will need to inform the main office of your results and consider these next steps:
- Schedule a PCR test to confirm your results.
- While waiting for your PCR test and test results, stay home and isolate yourself from household members.
- Continue to wear a mask, wash your hands, and keep 6 feet away from people.
