Good afternoon, everyone! Hope that you are having a great day & a great week! Thanks for all that you do & are! Here is this week's Father's Friday Flocknote...
1) Parish Picnic: As you might have guessed, we are unfortunately going to again postpone the Parish Picnic this year. With just still too much uncertainty regarding everything right now & the advanced planning that needs to happen it just seemed prudent to hold off again this year. I am hoping to be able to do the raffle still like we did last year...more details to come.
2) Called for More Survey: Thanks to all those who took the time & opportunity to fill out the "Called For More" Survey initiative. There are just a few more days (until April 19) left to do it & the results will help us to prepare & plan for the future. I want to work with you to continue to improve & build the life of our parish community. This will be a great tool to do just that!
3) Knights of Columbus Measure Up Campaign...Next weekend, April 24/25, the Knights of Columbus will be at the doors of the Church taking up donations for their Measure Up Campaign. The Measure Up Campaign fundraiser assists those with developmental disabilities. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
4) 100th Anniversary Vestment: As we draw closer to our parish's 100th anniversary we are hoping to have a number of opportunities & ways to celebrate our history & who we are today. One of those ways is going to be through the purchasing of a new vestment with St. Vincent De Paul (the Saint, not the Church building...just to clarify) on it. If you would like to make a donation to the fund for the vestment in memory of a loved one, you are more than welcome to do so. Please just either mark on the envelope (if cash) or on the memo line of the check "100th Vestment" so that we make sure the donation gets to the right place.
Have a great week!
Fr. John
