To serve is to love. Hunger is not always for a piece of bread but sometimes a hunger to be loved. Come show your love for others by volunteering to help with our Sixth Annual Parish Family St. Joseph Altar. The proceeds from the altar go to feed those in need, come feed your spirit by serving others. As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, “You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. Together we can do great things.” Bring your special gifts and find the peace and joy that comes from loving and serving others.
Our St. Joseph Altar will take place on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., with the candlelight rosary at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 1, 2021, Feast Day of St. Joseph the Worker, from 10:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m., with the blessing of the altar at 10:30 a.m. and free take-out meals from 11:15 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. or when the meals run out.
If you would like to place items on the Parish Family Altar, such as donated foods, cakes, decorations and/or loaned memorial pictures (5x7), statues, etc., you may bring these items to the Kern Center (gym) on Thursday morning, April 29th, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. All loaned items can be picked up on Sunday, May 2nd from 1-3 p.m.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to assist on the days of the Altar and Celebration, please contact Janet Cruppi at 504-338-2957, or Renee Lauland at 504-371-2101.
