Hello, Everyone!
There is a lot we can do to help our Earth stay beautiful!
These preschoolers had fun hearing a couple of stories about recycling.
We learned a chant about being green.
On Monday a "Trash Monster" trashed our classroom! :-o
There was no place to walk, sit or play in our room! The preschool team decided:
We can get rid of this mess! Everyone pitched in! Soon plastic, paper, cardboard was sorted into boxes.
All the recyclables were put to work on Thursday! 5th grade Reading Buddies helped little buddies create trash monsters! Duct tape, scissors, imagination & team work made it happen! Be sure to check St.James' Website for a few snap shots.
Recyclables helped create art in the classroom. Preschoolers stamped with various things to create fun pictures in blue & green.
Once everyone signed their name ,the art will be displayed in our hallway.
Next week ...I can't believe it, but I totally forgot about the "Week of the Young Child"!
There's still time to celebrate! I will need your help for Artsy Tuesday:
Will you please send an old t-shirt to school with your child? He/she will need it as a cover-up while painting. Weather permitting this will happen outside. The whole group will paint at the same time! The tempera paint we use will wash out.
Thank you!
Mrs. A & I are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
