TIMES OF REFRESHING

What are we willing to do for our flock?
This question is best understood by parents who would do everything for the good of their families (i.e., "flock"). From my own, I remember how we were their priorities and, almost always, it was "the children first before them."
As I was growing up, I slowly realized the sacrifices that they made in order to give us the best of what they can. Since then, I have made it my goal in life to show my undying gratitude to my beloved parents.
Perhaps the other part of the equation that we should take a look at is, “Are our children aware of sacrifices made and are grateful for what they enjoy today?”
Let us look at our relationship with Jesus Christ. Are we grateful to Jesus for all that He had to go through so that we would “pay attention” to how much we are loved and cared for?

Our Diocese of Tucson is grateful
On Monday, I got a very pleasant phone call from our former pastor, Msgr. John Lyons, who congratulated us for having achieved 101% of our Annual Catholic Appeal goal.
That, indeed, was a good way to start the week. I, too, am very grateful to everyone who understood the need for financial assistance at this time and responded.
It is in challenging times like this that true heroes emerge – whether it is those who contributed or those who offered prayers for hearts to open to the appeal.
Thank you, everyone!
