It is with a sad heart that I message you all to announce the passing of Fr. Anthony Schueller. He died this morning around 8 am. Some of you may already know that Fr. Tony recently had brain surgery. The surgery was to remove a non-cancerous colloidal cyst that was blocking the cranial fluid between the ventricles and the spinal column which causes hydrocephalous. Fr. Tony also had a heart condition that was of concern to the doctors performing the surgery. Many of you will have questions, but at this time we don’t know the exact cause of death. We were with Fr. Joseph when he received the news. Fr. John Keenan of the Congregation of Blessed Sacrament is flying in tonight, so Fr. Joseph will not be alone. Updates for the funeral and/or obituary will be posted on the website and on the Facebook page as they become available.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
When we last visited Fr. Tony, he was in very good spirits and joked about saying goodbye to Hershel (the cyst) and Walker (heart monitor). We will miss him deeply, God rest his soul. Please feel free to share your memories on the Parish’s Facebook page,
