Beginning on June 29th the 7pm adoration hour will no longer have a permanent volunteer.
To all parishioners (individuals, couples, families), please consider dedicating this hour to the Lord on a weekly basis.
For these next two adoration hours, I'm specifically asking/appealing to the men of this parish (and I'm not being chauvinistic, just cautious about asking ladies to take these very late/early hours for safety reasons).
We need a permanent volunteer starting May 19th for the 3am hour, and a permanent volunteer starting June 30th for the 2am hour.
To our retired gentlemen, the sleep you lose during adoration can be made up later that morning/day. You're retired, remember?! :)
To you gentlemen who are still working, are you willing to suffer a little by missing out on some sleep one day a week to spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament?
I wouldn't ask you to do something I'm not doing. The little bit of extra sleepiness I feel on Wednesdays is well worth my late night/early morning hour of prayer and adoration once a week. The blessings far outweigh the sleepiness.
Let me know if you can take one of these hours or if you have any questions.
Thank you
jeff
