FIRST COMMUNION AT 8:30 and 10:30 MASS ON MAY 16 :: LIMITED SPACE
First Communicants and their families will occupy the church, with others overflowing into the gym and cafeteria satellites. We kindly ask that other parishioners attend Saturday Mass or understand that they will be seated in one of our satellite locations. Thank you for your grace and please pray for these youth as they prepare to meet Jesus in the Eucharist!
MASS SIGNUP DISCONTINUED
Beginning in May we will no longer be using SignUp Genius to sign up for Mass. We will continue maintaining the 6’ physical distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing surfaces. We have multiple satellite locations on weekends to accommodate those wanting to attend Mass. Please continue entering the church at the ramp/double door entry point. Our greeters will assist with seating in the church and then the satellites, if needed.
PARKING LOT ADORATION—On Hold
Effective immediately, we are pausing Parking Lot Adoration on Friday nights.
With longer, brighter evenings upon us, it is becoming more challenging to see Jesus in the second floor window without the contrast of the night sky. Recreational activity in the parking lot is going later into the evening as summer draws near as well, making it difficult to maintain a reverent setting.
In the fall, we will reassess to see if there is still a need and enough interest to reintroduce Parking Lot Adoration. Our great hope is that indoor Adoration will replace it as we work our way out of the pandemic.
NO DAILY MASS or CONFESSION—May 5-7
Due to the convocation mentioned above, Fr. Matt (and nearly every priest in the Archdiocese!) will be unavailable, so there will be no daily Mass or confession on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday that week.
ST. PEREGRINE FEAST DAY CELEBRATION
On May 2 and in celebration of St. Peregrine's Feast Day there will be a first class relic available for veneration at St. Irene Byzantine Catholic Church in Portland. See
this flyer for more information.
