From Chris...
My name is Chris Letizia. I was born and raised in Natick, Massachusetts, and graduated from Natick High School in 2010. I grew up and received all of my sacraments at Saint Linus Parish in Natick, which is still my home parish to this day. From 2010-2012 I studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston with a focus on Piano and Voice in Professional music. For a period of 8 years, I worked in music ministry at the parishes of Saint Patrick and Saint Linus in Natick and worked as music director for various theatre groups, choral groups, and other music organizations in town. In 2017 I entered the Seminary of Our Lady of Providence and Providence College in Providence Rhode Island where I earned a B.A. in Philosophy and completed the formation program of the college seminary. This past fall, I entered Saint John’s Seminary in Brighton in hopes of continued formation and priestly Ordination. I am currently about to begin Second Theology at the seminary. As a seminarian, I have served at Saint Joseph in Medway, Saint Rose of Lima/Saint Agnes in Topsfield/Middleton, and Saint Patrick/Saint Linus in Natick. I have one older brother Joe who lives in Blackstone and is currently engaged to be married. My mother Karin still resides in Natick and I enjoy weekly visits with her.
For most of my life, I have always felt the pull to consider a Priestly Vocation. I felt inspired by the many Priests that have touched my life and I have always been interested in working with God’s people and bringing them closer to Christ. After many years of personal discernment, prayer, and consolation with others, I began my formation journey in 2017. While not always easy, I can honestly say that I have been truly blessed and happy on this journey so far. I love my relationship with the Lord and I am very interested in getting to know our people and being a part of their spiritual lives. I am very much looking forward to getting to know the community of Cohasset and Hull. Know of my daily prayers for all of you and in your kindness please pray for me.
From Hieu...
I am Hieu Chu, a seminarian from the Archdiocese of Hanoi, Vietnam. I am studying in Second Pre-Theology at Saint John’s Seminary, Boston. I was born and grew up in a small village where people mostly do agricultural works. Living in the countryside, I didn’t have any idea about going abroad to study or even just to travel. My priestly vocation began when I was sixteen. At that time, the holiness, devotion and the sense of humor of the pastor at my home parish encouraged me to pursue the way to become a priest. During the time studying at college, I lived in a parish for two years and then in the minor seminary for three years. In my vocational journey, I am always aware that I myself do not deserve this precious vocation, but I believe that because of God’s love, he invites me to become a laborer in His vineyard, to serve God’s people. By God’s love, I was sent to the US to study at Saint John’s Seminary. Living abroad in two years brings to me many great experiences about culture, education and communication with people. I will go back to my diocese Hanoi after I finish studying here. Please pray for me so that I may be faithful in pursuing priestly vocation and with God’s grace, I may become a priest after God’s own will.
