Hello all. I apologize for the delay in this Flocknote, but I was having trouble getting it working! I hope everyone had a great last week of April. We are officially moving into our last month of school. Summer school forms are due MAY 3rd (today), no exceptions. Friday (5/7) is an early out. Wednesday (Cinco de Mayo) we go back to all school Mass in the church. Very exciting!
Library books are due tomorrow.
Show and Share is on Thursday.
This week we will be working on…
Reading- The new spelling words this week are kick, rude, react, feet, punch, cheap, finish, boxing, push, and pull. The new stories and skills are “My Sly Dog” (open/long vowels), “Grill the Grub” (floss rule; -ss, -ll, -ff, -zz), and “Dan and Kent at Camp” (preconsonant nasal blends). Please be practicing with your kiddo at home. It really makes a difference in their confidence and ability! Also, since we have gone up to 10 spelling words, practicing at home will improve their confidence. We practice everyday at school, but it helps to reinforce specific skills if they are seeing it again at home.
Math- We will finish chapter 12 next week. We will review on Tuesday and test on Wednesday. After that we start our end of year test. This just shows the growth they have made this year and is nothing you should worry about! Those will be sent home on Friday for you to see.
Social Studies- This week we covered continents and bodies of water. Next week we are planning to cover oceans and where we live (state/country).
Have a great week!
