May is the month dedicated for honoring Mary, the Blessed Mother, the Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven and Earth. We celebrate motherhood, a beautiful part of the nature of women, whether it is through parenthood or the nurturing of others. There are many ways to honor Mary and motherhood, including praying the Rosary, praying a novena to Mary, and doing something special for the women in our lives. Another way to celebrate motherhood and promote a culture of life is to give to organizations that support motherhood. Coronavirus Restrictions Changing. This week the Archdiocese has issued several changes to the policies governing activities and liturgies in parishes. Father Kunkel, the Parish staff, and the Liturgy Committee are reviewing the guidance as it is released. Expect to see some changes to the Mass in future weeks. It is is still important to maintain 6 ft. of social distancing between those who are not members of the same households, both inside and outside. Capacity restrictions remain the same.

Respect Life
Seventh Month (size: about 15 inches) Beginning this month the baby uses all four senses. His eyelids open and close, and the eyes look around. The baby can taste, touch, cough, yawn and hiccup. He now recognizes his mother’s voice. His grip is even stronger now than it will be after his birth. The hair on his head is growing longer and the downy covering on the rest of his body is disappearing. During this time the baby will receive antibodies from his mother providing him immunity to a wide variety of diseases.

Let’s PRAY: Each week, we pray for a group of elected officials without including titles, states or party affiliation so we remember they are our brothers and sisters, children of God, sinners like us. Summer Day Camp at O'Dwyer. The Msgr. O'Dwyer Retreat House will be starting a. outdoor, faith-filled, fun, summer day camp this year for incoming 1st through 5th graders. All CDC and Baltimore County safety precautions will be strictly followed.
Help Wanted. There are five openings for staff, four for junior counselors, and five for volunteer counselors in training. Applications for camp and staff are located on the website.
