Parish Family Prayers
The month of May is a devotional month to Mary, Mother of God and Mother of us all. We offer our Parish Family Prayer to honor our Blessed Mother.
This week as we celebrate Mother's Day, let us pray for all women.
Prayer composed by Pope Francis:
Holy Mary, full of God’s presence during the day of your life, you accepted with full humility the Father’s will, and the devil was never capable of tying you up with his confusion. Once with your Son you intercede for our difficulties, and full of kindness and patience, you gave us an example of how to untie the knots in our life. By remaining forever Our Mother, you put in order and make more clear the ties that link us to the Lord.
Holy Mother, Mother of God and our Mother, to you who untie with a motherly heart the knots of our life, we pray to you to receive in your hands our parish community of St Bartholomew and to free us all of the knots and confusion with which our enemy attacks.
Through your grace, your intercession, and your example deliver us from all evil, Our Lady,
and untie the knots that prevent us from being united with God, so that we, free from sin and error, may find Him in all things, may have our hearts placed in Him, and may serve Him always in our brothers and sisters.
Amen.
Let us offer to the Mother of God this week: A kind word, a friendly conversation, a helping hand to persons we live or work with.
Attention all high schoolers!!
Do you have questions about your faith??
We are having a special (virtual) night with the priests on the weekly live chat! Tune into the livestream Wednesday, May 12, at 8:00 PM to ask your questions on Conversing Clergy.
We’re looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming
Praise & Worship Night
on
Sunday, May 23, at 7:00 PM.
We’ll have praise and worship music, a reflection by Fr. Christopher, Eucharistic Adoration, and a short procession of the Blessed Sacrament. Volunteers are needed to
help with ushering, holding candles in the procession, holding tiki torches along the procession path, setting up, cleaning up...and we’re hoping for a few
flower girls too! If you would like to help out with this evening of glorifying our Lord as we take a break from our daily stresses, send an email to
stbart.pwa@gmail.com.
This event is sponsored by St. Bart's A.C.T.S. and is open to all, so help spread the word to your friends in neighboring parishes!
