Hello, Everyone!
Whew! A lot of work had to be done this week! And we did it!
You'll see on Sunday...or perhaps you have already seen the surprise?!
Monday was a bit wacky. Spring Fever is all I can blame on the activity & noise level in the classroom that day! Work on our surprise had to be put on hold 'til Tuesday!
Ms. Shelly read a great story to us! It was about a little girl & her father making a surprise for her mom: "Flower Garden" , by Eve Bunting. Due to severe Spring fever
the book did not have the inspiring effect on these children as I had hoped!
However: Our Tuesday was simply beautiful! Children were able to follow instructions, they listened, got along with each other...Mrs. Farrell & I were able to coax each child to the activity table. Hands went to work printing...little minds made decisions...everyone was excited to create the surprise!!
Yes, we managed to learn a simple song for Mother's Day this week, too. Hopefully you'll be serenaded! "My mom's special! My mom's special!
Look & see, mom & me!
I love her, she loves me! ( Repeat.)
Lucky me! Lucky me!
( Sing to "Are you sleeping...")
Together with 5th grade reading buddies we went on an Art Tour in our school! Down the halls we walked & admired the art created & displayed by each grade.
Grand finale: A wild game of drop the beanbag with reading buddies in Tobin Hall!
Mrs. A had a sick little one at her house. So Mrs. Farrell helped in her place Monday - Wednesday. Thank You, Mrs. Farrell!
It's hard to believe that next week is the last week of preschool!
Our last day will be Thursday, May 13!
Spare clothing, projects & memorabilia will be sent home little by little! Be sure to check your child's back pack!
All of us at St.James want to wish all of you moms a
very Happy Mother's Day!
We are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
