Dear Azure Hills Church Family,
I was on for a Zoom meeting but there was a problem. The audio was echoing so badly that I was unable to hear the others talking. For each person who spoke, their voice echoed a dozen times, making their words incomprehensible. Not only that, my voice echoed in my own ears! Between my voice and the voices around me, it was difficult to hold a coherent thought. Imagine my relief when things stilled and I was able to hear the voices of those in the meeting with clarity again! The Holy Spirit whispered to me, "that’s what coming away with me is all about. You find sanctuary and stillness in my presence."
“When every other voice is hushed, when every earthly interest is turned aside, the silence of the soul makes more distinct the voice of God.” [Ellen White, Special Testimonies on Education p. 163]
You are welcomed into the sanctuary of the presence of the Living God. Enter into God’s rest, beloveds.
A few things we have to share with you…
Tomorrow is the Big Day!
Sabbath, May 8 we re-enter our Sanctuary for worship for the first time in 14 months. Going forward from tomorrow, we have services at 9am and 11:30am with Sabbath School at 10:20am. To have a seat in the sanctuary you must pre-register at our website:
azurehills.org. The Fellowship Hall is open for overflow with a big-screen projection of the live-streamed service. Everyone must check-in at the designated tables on arrival, answer screening questions, wear masks, and social distance. Services will continue to be live-streamed on our website.
Farewell for Pastor Sam
Join us as we say farewell to Pastor Samantha Peralta on Sabbath, May 22 at 5 pm at the lawn behind the church. She has served the Azure Hills Church with excellence and creativity for the past 2 years as our Children and Family Pastor, and will now become the Elementary Chaplain for Loma Linda Academy. We would like to show her our appreciation for all that she has done for our church family in pointing us to Jesus. Come offer your blessings and love to Pastor Sam and the Peralta family.
