I am going to use this communication each week to help keep all of us on the same page (including me) and with all the necessary information for a successful end to the school year. There is lots going on so hold on tight, we are in this together!

MONDAY

Scholastic Book Fair Information

A few notes for the spring book fair:

The Book Fair event will be held in the gym
Please use the gym entrance doors (to the north of the main office doors) to enter and exit (this limits people in the school building)
Your student will be creating a wish list, this will be provided to you when you shop
If possible, we ask that you do not bring your child(ren) in to shop as our area will not accommodate a large number of people
Please see the hours for shopping below

TUESDAY

11:10AM-12:45PM: Students may shop over their lunch hour if you send in money with your child (adults will be helping the students shop)

WEDNESDAY

8:35AM School Mass - Ms. Watson's Class

We encourage you to join us at 8:35AM on the St. Matthew Facebook page for this week's school mass. Ms. Watson's first-grade class will be leading our mass.

THURSDAY

4th and 5th Spring Concert

The 4th and 5th spring concert is on Thursday May 13th at St. Matthew Catholic Church. There are two performance options available to you for in-person viewing, as well as a live Zoom event in the evening, see below:

11:15AM: Dress Rehearsal (welcome to join for in-person viewing)
5:30PM: Live event (includes both in-person viewing and live stream via Zoom webinar)

Students should arrive by 5:15PM in Kearn Hall; dress code is school dress code or better. We ask that masks be worn and social distancing is accommodated. Concert will likely last approximately 30 minutes.

FRIDAY

Friday is an EARLY DISMISSAL at 12:05PM; students will be fed a hot dog lunch before departing

Rainbow Day 2021

We are so excited to hold a modified version of Rainbow Olympics this year. In an effort to help things run smoothly, we are going to need some help with the stations, as well as set-up, tear down, and food preparation. If you are available the morning of Friday May 14th, we would love your assistance. See the sign-up slots below. Please note that unfortunately due to the pandemic, these are the only opportunities for parents to be on-site, thank you for understanding.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Monday May 17th: Scholastic Book Fair (during lunch and 2-4PM)

Tuesday May 18th: Last day of Scholastic Book Fair (during lunch for students to shop)

Thursday May 20th: Intruder Training and practice (at school)

Wednesday May 26th: No School mass (moved to Friday)

Friday May 28th: Last Day of School with mass and awards ceremony (plan for a 10AM dismissal)
